Isis Isn’t Crazy- She’s in HEAT!
Damn it! I was going to have her spade by her regular vet on Aviation in Hermosa but with all drama surrounding house sale and move, I forgot. Well today it became apparent what the issue is.
I have never had a dog in heat before, so I’ve been doing a lot of research, trying to find local vetinary hospital, etc. After thought I decided just to use the Hermosa vet but I can’t do anything for about 15 days now. So I’ll have to be down in Hermosa for a full day (8 am - 5 pm).
In the meanwhile, I know there are “doggie diapers” but I have to order on-line. In the meantime, it was suggested I get newborn Pampers and cut a hole in them for her tail. I go by many little “Mercados” on my way to gym and I’ve seen Pampers in the window, so hopefully I’ll have something tomorrow. But that does not stop her whining and aggressive behavior towards other dogs (and theirs towards her). Obviously she is never off a leash around another dog at anytime down here anyway.
I’m glad that was the answer to her strange behavior change… but what a pain for next 2 weeks.
