I Think I Was Just Discriminated Against…

I went over to the Subway sandwich shop to get my lunch/dinner in Little Tokyo, and on way back decided to stop at my favorite little Saki store and try something new.  I picked up 2 fairly expensive bottles, waited in line, then the fat-ass behind the counter would not sell it to me without a Drivers License! (The young couple in front of me was not carded- I have to assume he knew them).  I tried to reason with him, explain I was walking, had grey hair and deep wrinkles, had been a doorman and knew the laws, etc but no way was he selling me Saki.

I was really close to the moment in the movie “Falling Down” where Michael Douglas tried to get the Korean store owner to give him change for a phone call, and when he was denied, he turned the place upside down, then put $1 on counter, grabbed a Coke, opened the cash register and took $.50 change, and said “Thanks”.
