A Great Story About Pete’s Cafe and Art Walk Night
Downtown really is changing into a place where people can live and have fun. Pete’s Cafe is one of my favorite places near by, and the author of this article explains what is like in great, poetic detail. I still have not done the “Art Walk” yet, but have run into some of the participants when I walk Isis. It is very much like a great party at the beach, with people carrying around open glasses and bottles of wine, etc from place-to-place, but the difference is that the police are cool and don’t hassle anyone. And it is SAFE in an area that was really SKID ROW. Cool lofts are being built in that area (2-3 blocks from by place).
