When A Movie-Filming Sucks
I just ran across this news- Will Smith and Charlize Therone are filming a movie at Cafe Pinot (a pretty good restuarant here in downtown). They CLOSED the entire restaurant from Monday through Thursday to do the filming, and the staff gets NO pay. I think I’m going to boycott the whole Patina Restaurant Group after this stupid move. Hell, I want a little compensation or HOA fee reduction when they use my building as a prop. These poor starving waiters and waitresses (or “starving actors”) don’t get much respect from the Patina Group.
EDIT: There is an update on TMZ- the workers can work at other Patina Group restaurants if they want- SURE! How do you do you cook or serve at another restaurant for four days? Damn, I am sick of dumbass people bending over for Hollywood.
