Detour Festival Revisited- Teddybears CD Is Officially My Favorite
I fell in love with the Teddybears at Detour Festival and I finally bought their latest CD - “SOFT MACHINE” (it’s available in vinyl too- very Euro/old school) . Not all of the songs on the CD are homeruns, but the songs I liked live sound great in a studio too. The band is just so fun live, not exceptional music that will be remembered 10 years from now, but for NOW, it’s my choice to get me fired up for a workout, etc.
Check out the TEDDYBEARS OFFICIAL SITE- there are 2 good videos on it under the “Video Streams” - PUNK ROCKER has Iggy Pop appearing and singing- very appropriate! (Was it a Cadillac commercial???) But I also like when it was performed live with the girl singing at Detour (I still can’t figure out who she was). And COBRASTYLE has such an infectious beat, how can you not tap your feet or bob your head to it?
Detour Festival gives me one more reason that I want to be living downtown next fall for it’s 3rd installment.
