My Theme Song- “Downtown”
Thanks to Celia at 5th and Spring for reminding me about this song- it was one that my parents played and I got hooked on, but it makes so much more sense now. I hope you’ll enjoy Petula Clark’s song like I do… this video is from 1964 and still rocks!
From a fan: “The meaning in this song is fairly obvious. The idea is that depression is only made worse by isolation, and becoming active is a way to relieve its effect.” I agree 100%
Thanks for that tape of petula clark. I remember when she sang it. I want you to know that that song will be in the back of my mind. it will serve to remind me to change my attitude about my life in downtown. My next blog will make reference to new experiences, etc. You showed me that I can put videos on my blog. I just have to work it out. thanks walter

Send me a link to your blog- downtown blogs are pretty popular now, and I’ll add you on my links if you want.
