Downtown Drivers Are Lucky

I walk about 8 miles a day - 2 miles to gym and 6 miles with my dog.  I see A LOT of traffic, plus A LOT of cops (I live 1 block from main LAPD)

I see tons of bad drivers during my walks- I don’t know how they are not pulled over.  I also see tons of cops ignore bad drivers- whether they are going to their break or have a worse criminal to chase.

The asswipes I see driving poorly are mostly speeding in a crowded area, running red lights, and/or doing illegal u-turns.  I have driven fast in my life, but mostly on roads in Malibu Canyon or Palos Verdes where if you make a mistake, it’s your life, not someone elses.

I hope to see more crappy drivers pulled over as I walk the streets.  And yes, I look both ways before I cross an intersection as there are too many people blowing through red lights.

I  never got so lucky- cops pulled me over for damn stupid things.  No front license plates, tinted windows, expired plates (waiting for DMV to send me sticker).

Ok, I admit I’ve driven like a “bat out of hell” far too many times in my life.  But I never endangered a passenger or other drivers (but I have been in many wrecks due to either my bad driving or someone elses).
