Isis Is “Bad Girl” At Yappy Hour
After the downtown dog walk to Nokia/Staples, I was so happy with Isis and the way she behaved. So last night I took her to the Lofty Dog’s Yappy Hour, and she was a monster. Damn dog barked at everything that moved- I left after about 5 minutes. I was so embarrassed!
I think right now Isis needs to be walking in order to distract her, or at least keep her from barking.
I really wish I could have stayed- I am so into the downtown dog scene, the people are so cool. Celia and Santa, Zilla, Cabrini and Karen, I feel so lucky to be around such loving dog owners (Joe, where were you and Ruby? And Ken, Dodger Dog, and Aggie, did you show up later?)
I need to get David from walkfido.com to come over again and help me train my bad girl…
i was bummed that isis wasn’t enjoying herself and you guys had to leave. i think she was just reacting to a lot of small, yappy, aggro dogs that were there last night.
i hope you bring isis to the bloggers on ice event on monday night. isis gets along with bloggers, right?
December 14th, 2007 at 12:48 pmI’m sorry Isis was out of sorts. I think a little more socializing with other dogs will calm her down.
Ruby was tuckered out from the dog walk on Wednesday and let me know she wanted to stay home. (She’s really good at making her wishes known.) She’s nine and a half years old now, so the walk to Staples was a long one for her. We spent the evening on the sofa–me reading and Ruby sleeping–and she took up most of the room again.

December 14th, 2007 at 4:08 pmCelia and Joe-
Thank you for such a fun time with the dog walk- I just wish Isis had behaved at “Yappy Hour”. Like most women, I can’t figure out her moods (JUST JOKING!)
I don’t know if I can do the “ICE” thing- believe it or not I used to play hockey and I am a little particular about my skates (I don’t have my own anymore- rollerblades are more a SoCal thing). But I may come to watch and bring Isis.
The downtown bloggers rule- and I want to meet more of them (Eric, Ed, Don…) I hope to see you all there Monday.
