LAPD HQ Facade Work Started
Either Monday or Tuesday they began installing the facade “panels” on the new Los Angeles Police Department Headquarters. I didn’t even notice until yesterday, even though it’s right in front of my face, I’m usually looking at the computer screen. I need to pay more attention because this construction process is pretty amazing. There are so many people working on every floor now that floors are in place. It is kind of like watching one of those “ant farm” toys that were popular when I was a kid (and apparently are still poplular). It would be cool if I figured out how to do a time-lapse photograph tomorrow as things are changing fast, cosmetically now.
