St. Patrick’s Day Parade - What A Peaceful Lunch Time!
The downtown Los Angeles St. Patrick’s Day Parade came right by my loft today, and right when Isis needed a walk, so I went out to see what was happening at around 11:15 (parade was to start at 11:30 near Olvera St. and come south on Main St. to 5th St).
The streets had just been blocked off- 1st and 2nd St. was colosed between Spring St. and Los Angeles St, There was an eerie quiet in the neighborhood as Isis and I hoofed it on a journey around City Hall. There were not many more people than the usual lunch time crowd around Cal Trans and the City Halls, Isis and I stopped on the way home to watch parade go by at 1st and Main St., but she got too excited with all of the sirens and all the “ratta-tat-tat” from the snare drums. I took her back home and took a couple of pics from my loft.
The parade was not memorable, but the day was for the fact it was a very peaceful, quiet 45 minutes on a usually noisy and congested weekday.
