Sneakers for $12,000???
While walking Isis in Little Tokyo, I ran across a rather unusual store- a vintage sneakers store that has TONS of inventory, and some of the most expensive sneakers I’ve ever seen. RIF LA is the sister store of LA Avenue in Tokyo, where expensive, limited edition sneakers (mainly basketball styles) have been fashionable for a long time.
Most all of their inventory is on consignment, and there probably is only one pair available, so hopefully you find the style you want in the size you need (their website lets you search by size, so you can narrow your search quickly). I can’t imagine where they get so many pairs of 10+ year old styles that are “new, in box”- someone must have been predicting that their $100 investment would be worth 10-times as much ov er time.
