Do You Want A Dog?
If you are thinking about getting a dog, PLEASE check out this site and see if there are any dogs that interest you. This site, DOGS IN DANGER, makes me so sad as it shows how many days each dog has left before it is euthanized. And, speaking from experience, getting a pedigreed dog from a reputable breeder does not mean it will be problem-free or be easy to train.
Isis, my Jack Russell Terrier, came from a breeder who specialized in breeding dogs for performance. Isis’ mother ate one of Isis’ siblings and was taken away, and then the breeder’s pick of the litter turned into a problem, and the breeder got rid of him too. I will never get rid of Isis, but if I had to do it again, I would get a rescue dog.
