Thanks Jim for Muttropolitan Info!
I just picked up Isis from Mettropolitan where she had the “refresh” grooming package, and she looks great! I don’t know why I hadn’t heard of this place, but in a previous post I was lamenting the loss of Loftdogs and Jim from trainedmonkey.com posted that he was taking WonTon to Muttropolitan and was happy, so I decided to try it.
Although they are closed on Sunday and Monday, I sent an e-mail to info@muttropolitanLA.com on Sunday requestion an appointment Tuesday a.m. and to my surprise I got an e-mail back on Sunday, saying that 11 a.m. would be fine. So I already like them as they have good customer service and use e-mail.
I dealt with Grace both by e-mail and in-person (I don’t know if she is the owner and/or groomer- I guess I should have asked). Luckily when I arrived there were no big dogs around to get Isis riled-up, so I was happy the drop-off did not create a scene. An hour later I pick her up and she has that great, freshly shampoo’ed look and she is very happy- you can tell Grace is a “dog whisperer” type of dog lover. For $25, we’ll be back frequently.

Isis actually sits still for a second with Grace- very unusual behavior
Eric: You should read blogdowntown more carefully… Ed wrote up a good review of Muttropolitan back in January:

April 8th, 2008 at 9:26 pmEric- blogdowntown.com is my “go to” place for my daily downtown stuff- I know now that I read that article by Ed but it was fast-forgotten as I was happy with my neighbor Loftydog at the time.
It’s very cool you guys are now a “newspaper” - just don’t lose your blogger’s edge
