White Dog’s Bedding Is Expensive!

This is kind of gross, but not quite as graphic as Big City Poz description of how to pick up dog poop- so continue if you can handle a little grossness- I think anyone who’s had a pet has had to deal with some stuff.
I’ve been having this problem off-and-on for at least a year, and I thought it was over, but White Dog still likes chewing/destroying my pillows, comforters, sheets, etc. This is the gross part, but I am a very easy “bleeder” and many times I have banged into items at gym or home and skinned my legs or arms. Or I will have a nose bleed from my bad cocaine habit I had 20 years ago (never touched “devil dust” since then- it was a 6 month thing that blew out my nose though). Yes, I have heard of Band-aids, but you don’t understand how easy I cut, and bleed.
Anyway, when White Dog finds blood on anything- she EATS it- clothes, sheets, blanket, pillow. I’ve had to replace my bedding so many times that I usually buy 2 of everything when I shop. And a really bad part is I typically get goose down comfortor and pillows. So then feathers are everywhere. This just happend this morning when I found a hole chewed in my pillow.
Isis never chews anything else- never- but my monthly bedding costs are getting very expensive. I guess the good part is I get new sheets and comforters to change the look in my “bedroom” if that’s what a bed in the corner of a loft is. But how would I stop this- I guess just locking her in her crate, but I don’t know how that would enforce in her what she did was bad if I did not see it right at the minute. Some times I wish I just had a mellow Lab or Golden Retriever…
EDIT- I’m sitting laughing as I now remember my old Jack Russel- Jackie, ate a hole in a down comforotor and I had taped it and tried to wash it- my Mom was there at time and you should have see us with feathers all over us in my laundry room. (Yes, I know a down comfortor is dry clean only- but I was trying to salvage this one- now I only get the cheap comforters). Maybe it’s a Jack Russel thing?
This is a spider bite on my arm that I had to scratch.. and it keeps bleeding- yeah, I’m stupid, but it itches bad, and is just one of my many simple “wounds” that bleed.

Could it be that Isis is part vampire? That could explain her attraction to blood.
Ruby has the bad habit of pawing the sheets. That means she wants to be covered up. Unfortunately, her pawing routine often leaves long rips in the sheets. Oh, what misery it is to discover a 400-thread cotton percale sheet with a long rip in it!
May 19th, 2008 at 1:59 amThat’s funny about the 400 TC Percale getting rips. I’ve severly downsized the quality of sheets I buy this past year- I’ve gone through LOTS of sheets and comforters, so now I buy at places like smartbargains.com and overstock.com. In fact I’ll be ordering more this afternoon, Grrr!
