When Will The Noise End?

Alright, I’m getting a little “grouchy” over this supposed 3-4 day nightly construction project to tie the new LAPD HQ sewer into the main system. Every “weekday night”, from 8pm - 5am, there has been activity in front of my place- this is going on 8 working days.

You know, I’m sorry to complain, but I’ve put up with a ton of construction, in-my-face, for over a year now. I’ve had to go in the bathroom to make phone calls. I have a dog that barks everytime the construction crew drops something heavy. My windows do not seal properly and my place is full of dust within 2 days of getting it cleaned.

It sucks to think just when construction is over, I’ll be moving… but I am looking forward to trying a new loft complex downtown.

so what’s the story?? are you moving to a different unit in the same building?? or to a totally different place?? (are you staying downtown, yes?)

If I’m moving, I’m MOVING- no sense staying in Higgins Building, as it has no ammenities and the poor owners are hit so bad by one-time assessments that they are trying to recoup their invenstments by raising rent. I want to stay downtown- but place has to have a pool, and storage.

The owner of my place is now saying he is happy where he is and would offer to lease the place to me again, but I think my mind is already set on a move.
