What Beautiful Weather This A.M.!

I was very happy yesterday, as the warmest October on record since 1965 cooled off a little, with partly cloudy skys, a nice coolish, non-Santa Ana breeze, and a high temp in the low 80s both downtown and in the Valley.

This morning I walk out to street at 4:20 am and am plesantly surprised by a light, misty rain. This felt so good- more stimulating than waking up w/ coffee. I did’t return to loft to get a rain coat as I time the Red Line tight- I try to get there w/ under 2 minutes to spare as I hate waiting. No big deal- if it’s pouring in the Valley, I’ll survive as I have jeans and a cotton t-shirt on.

At Universal City, where I wait about 15 min. there was no rain- streets were dry as a bone. But when I get on the bus, as soon as we go a couple blocks down Ventura Blvd. it is misting, and within a mile the driver needed to turn on the windshied wipers. She commented on how her return trip down the Boulevard was going to be a mess at 8:00 am, and I was just happy I was not driving on the freeway today with all the idiots who drive too fast w/ bald tires.

I guess I hope the rain stops tonite in time for the Halloween revelers, although I had one of my best Halloweens ever at the West Hollywood Halloween Parade a few years back when it poured so hard- living in SoCal I have come to love rain. But I will be staying dry as The Edison is only about 20 steps outside from my loft- I can’t wait!

(Thinking of you Brian and how much you and Carter going to enjoy today…)

It rained and I missed it?!?! Damn it!

I would give anything for a nice rainy day. According to the forecast there is a 30% chance of a thunderstorm at some point today. I would give anything to see that happen here in LA.

Thunderstorms??? That would be so cool- I’d put on the windbreaker and head out with Isis… sorry you missed the slight drizzle- at least it’s cooler!

There’s a kid’s party in Grand Hope park tonight, so as much as I love rain, I really hope it holds off tonight.

I think you’ll get your wish Li- and I am so happy it’s cooled off as Wed when I wore my pimpin’ full length fur I was SO hot and sweaty… I’m happy with just an overcast day today (and maybe Sunday for Pershing Square rally).

Have fun with your little one tonite!

Li - I think you should be good to go tonight. It was supposed to rain last evening as well during our event at J Lounge but it was the most perfect evening. I think we might pop over there to see the fun, even though we don’t have any little ones to bring along.

Brian, if you do stop by, my son and husband will be dressed as Thing 1 and Thing 2 from the Cat in the Hat.
