Oh No! Is Origami Another Downtown Casualty?
UPDATE: Read Meeko’s comments- I guess they just changed their hours… I’m going to go celebrate tonite with a Kobe Flat Iron Steak- and praise the gods that Origami is still kicking…
My FAVORITE place for great food, drinks, and people, seems to be closed… I went by last night (Saturday) on a dog walk and it was shut down, then I just went by at 3:15 pm with White Dog, and there was no sign of activity (although they don’t open until 4pm on Sunday, usually the gates over windows are raised and there are people around by now).
This is going to be a huge loss to me if Brian, the owner, did indeed decide to “pull the plug” on this great establishment. And I feel extremely bad for the staff- Whitney, Lisa, Jean, Shelly all were great bartenders/waitresses and I will miss them. I hope I run into them wherever the land next… and Brian was a true gentleman- I only wish him the best if the place really is closed… DAMN IT!!!
Hey there! I gave Origami a phone call and the lady that answered said they are open from 5pm to close on Saturdays and Sundays! No worries!
November 2nd, 2008 at 5:19 pmDon’t forget to mention to the bars you frequent about Bob and SouthBayExchange.com He’s also putting together party buses to get people to Staples for their suite and I’m sure they could be pursuaded to go to a fellow member’s place afterwards.
November 2nd, 2008 at 8:08 pmDK- I don’t know how much I can help as I don’t really understand the barter system on that web site.
But I do know you made out like a bandit on getting body work done on your car via barter. Maybe the best I can do is get some business cards and give them out?
