Causecast Throws Election Night Party At The Edison
If you’re looking for a fun place to watch the election results on a historical night, head over to The Edison for some fun- The Edison opens at 5pm with it’s usually happy hour specials (40% off on all drinks), and at 8pm the Cousecast party begins ($5 donation suggested, 100% of which is donated to Invisible Children, Farm Sanctuary, and Hip Hop Summit Action Network). Show your “I Voted” sicker and get a free drink. (This may actually be breaking California Election Code that does not allow food or drinks to be given away as an incentive to vote, or to NOT vote, as Starbucks and Krispy Kreme are finding out- maybe you will not have to show sticker and they will use the “honor system” like the others have resorted to).
Upscale dress is suggested- it sounds like they might actually be enforcing the dress code, not just “selectively” as has been done lately (I see lots of t-shirts, and sneakers, in there during the earlier hours, but I can bet that I would not get in w/o a collar and definitely not with tennis shoes).
It should be an interesting evening- I will not be staying up late but I’m interested to see when the first claims of voting fraud and electronic voting problems arise…

Authorities Eye Voter Perks
Seems like Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, et al. are backpeddling on handing out freebies to people who show the “I Voted” sticker… now anyone can get free stuff by just asking. Seems like the authorities should have bigger things to worry about… especially since the freebie is given AFTER the voting. Another fine use of government resources.
