Did City Hall “Fumble The Ball” On Tree Lighting After Yesterday?

After all the build-up of the tree lighting at City Hall last night (I atteneded a little, well, I slowly walked past a bunch of kids singing… and heard Tony Villar was about to arrive and decided to keep on walking), I walk by tonite at 6:45 and the tree AND Spring St. are pitch black! I assume they had the street lights off on the east side of Spring so the tree would look magnificant, but no lights lit on the tree or nearby decorations. There were probably at lesst 30 people waiting at the bus stop there directly south of the City Hall steps, and they were in total darkness- that bus bench has no lights, unlike the one a half-blcok away at Spring and Temple.

I hope someone figures out how to set the timers for the lights to come on when it gets dark, as DWP obviously got the message and turned off their lights. It’s kind of a spooky world there when it’s pitch black…
