I Can See Snow From My Cube
Had to take a pic from my “cube” in Encino today- I am one of lucky ones with a window as side of my cube- people all day long were coming up and standing next to my cube and making comments about the snow on the mountains. My window faces North- so you’re seeing Sylmar, and where the 14 Freeway goes into the mountains- which was closed for a couple of days, stranding whole communities from their jobs in Los Angeles because of SNOW!
The funny/sad thing is that just about 2 months ago the same window produced views of billowing smoke as fires devestated parts of Sylmar, and also closed the 14 Freeway.
To quote Brian, “It’s never a dull moment anywhere in the Los Angeles area. Ever. “

It’s never a dull moment in Los Angeles. Ever.

January 2nd, 2009 at 3:54 pmHey Rich- good to hear from you! I actually was thinking of you and your ‘hood last night- was that Singal Hill shooting near you? There was a shooting and a knifing NYE 2 blocks away from me- closest violence has hit yet. But hey, in Hermosa a guy was shot in hist car 2 blocks from my house and they never solved the crime, so crime is everywhere.
We gotta catch up one of these times on the phone…
