New LAPD HQ Nears Completion- Mixed Emotions
The new LAPD Headquarters is nearing completion- and there is some freshing placed sod below my window. Right now there is an ordance on how much water residences can use on their lowns in LA and from what I can tell from article the new grass is granted an exemption as it is kind of a “park” in LA- one of the few downtown. But City Hall has it’s sprinklers running daily at aroun 5 am, and has just about as much grass as the new LAPD- I’m not sure if I really give a rat’s ass- I just am happy the stupid loud construction is almost done.
EDIT: I will bet that dogs will not be allowed on the sod there- but nothing is mentioned yet.
It wiill be interesting to see how my ‘hood and breakfast/lunch change when the construction workers wonderiing around are replced with tons of city workers (I’m not sure but i don’t think many real LAPD officers will be going to the adminstrative building- I hope there are many as these men and ladies I respect greatly).
