A Quality Of Life That Is Hard To Believe

You will not believe how much life is improved when your commute is a walk across the street.

Yeah, I’ve worked at home for years at a time- but there’s something missing doing that- the “water cooler talk”, the lunch with team members, the b.s.ing while going to get a cappacino at the cafe downstairs, and on-and-on.

I literally left work at 4:30 and was home at 4:35. I can take 2- 30 minute breaks if I want (instead of one 60 min lunch) and walk my dog for 15 minutes each time.

Just remembering what it was like when I’d have commutes from Hermosa Beach to Burbank or Irwindale makes me break out in a cold sweat- how I hated those one-and-a-half hour commutes, while beating the hell out of my car and seeing it’s value diminish as I drove each mile.

If you ever have a chance to move close to where you work- DO IT!!! This six month contract is going to go by way too fast…

As someone who walks across the street to get to work, I agree wholeheartedly! You just can’t beat that commute!

Now come on Celia- I know you are all over the place with your myriad of projects.. remember we ran into each other on the Red Line from Hollywood (side note- the light rail runs right in front of my apt complex here- making Pershing Square seem like a mile away).

And when you walk across the street, you still have to pick which project/investment you want to visit at that time- that could be stressful. I just go to 744 P Street… no brainer…

    - all tongue-in-cheek; you and Jim have a great lifestyle that I am striving for when I grow up :-)
