Jan Perry Will Love Sacramento

I cannot believe there is a place that is worse for finding fast food than downtown Los Angeles- but there are NO mainstream fast food places in the entire “Sacromento Proper” which is about the same size as downtown LA. Plug my zip code (95814) into any restaurant’s locator- McDonald’s, Burger King, Carl’s Jr are all miles away. There are 2 Subway shops with in about a block of each other- I wonder how that happened (and would Jan approve? LOL)

I’m not a huge fast food eater but I do like a value sometimes- and an Egg McMuffin is one of my favorite fast foods. And check this out- there are 2 restaurants in my building- but they CLOSE on weekends. I think that they cater mostly to the governtment workers that work where I do (2 - 20 story office towers).

Lots of other stuff is a pain here- Citibank is not even a presence here (it’s in some suburb)- and the only grocery store is a Safeway that is miles away. I cannot believe how I was spoiled with a Ralph’s downtown- no more complaining from me about downtown LA. And stores like Target, Best Buys, etc are non-existant here. At least Little Tokyo had an Office Max for when I ran out of printer ink, etc.

One side of me wants my 6 month contract to get extended, and the other side misses LA so much. Time will tell.
