River City Brewing, Macy’s ROCKS At Westfield Mall
I had to go do a little shopping at Macy’s- hit both the Men’s side and the Women’s side (for bed sheets). That place is GREAT compared to other Macy’s I’ve been in- crazy great inventory of men’s clothing, and even the home furnishings dept did not look like a Macy’s. I hope they can hang here, as I hear lots of problems at Westfield Mall.
Then did lunch at River City Brewing in the mall- AMAZING place! 11 beers brewed on-site, and some great looking food (I only had appetizers but I will return). This place will be on my happy hour rotation as it has great deals. I met the manager and am afraid to say that the Westfield Mall is dragging them down- she said they are lucky to be in location they are and get some foot traffic. It’s kind of a funny mall- it has a car dealership in it (Hyndai), cars in the courtyard area, and the basic “junk” mall stores.
Macy’s though at both ends, and even though I love to laugh at Macy’s- these stores have MAD Inventory. Thing that pisses me off though is everything is always on sale, but not when you want it. Today I wanted bed sheets- good 500 tc sheets were $120- “but if I came back Wednesday they’d be 25% off” - WTF is that all about??? My time is worth $ too so I just bought them. But that kind of practice will lead me to going on-line for my next purchase, which I usually do.
But check out River City Brewing in SacraLAMEo- it is a good place for a bite and a drink.
