Lets Get This Going Again
kinda didn’t want to keep posting here as I’m still in Sacramento– trying just to stay working, and I work about 1/2 block from where I’m staying (and my gym is right across street too). I LOVE downtown LA so nuch- read all the blogs, LA Times- but having a 3 minute commute kinda compensats. I will be back.
But I have lots of inso to share with you on the Sac politcal scene- I HATE politics in general, some mayors and governers in particular. So this is gonna be negative- fasten you seatbelt.
Here’s me in my new SacTown “dog walk” garb- it gets so cold up here (for a Skidrowdude). Gloves, scarf and beanie are necesssy at 5 am or 7 pm.
Lets get this party started… I just wish it was in downtown LA
So this is a typical dog walk outfit- I know I look like a douche- but it is warm.

How did the summer turn out? Was it as hot as you thought if would be?
January 8th, 2012 at 11:04 pmHey James- thanks for checking in! Damn I miss the DTLA folks/scene. Summer was pretty good here- lots of bars/restaurants have “misting” units and huge fans on patios- I liked hanging out by river as that is a big plus here. But everyone said “very strange summer”- many 90+ degree days but less 100+ which was perfect.
The wierd thing here is that hottest part of day is between 3 and 5pm, where in LA it’s cooling / marine layer is rolling in. I came home from work most days and hit jacuzzi to help injured back, and I got so dark I was called an Indian and a Jamacain (LOL- “ya mahn”).
And at night you got out in shorts to most places- like Miami or something (of course not “clubs”). So I survived.
And now I’m hearing “very strange winter”- no rain for weeks but cold- I guess it’s warmer when it rains.
I’m putting up with it but remember how depressed I get when all the trees look like “sticks” w/ no leaves when I grew up in Midwest- at least I did not have to rake the leaves here- thank God. I may be here another 6 months or so if the “price is right”- stay turned!
